Bidirectional Thyristor is the derivative of the thyristor module also known as the SCR rectifier. The thyristor is structurally a PNPN four-layer semiconductor, with three poles: Anode, Cathode and Gate. Thyristor shall work when positive voltage is exerted and gate pole has a trigger current. Its derivative devices are fast thyristor, two-way thyristor, reverse thyristor and light control thyristor etc, and marked in the circuit with the text symbol "V" or "VT" (or "SCR" in old standard).
Bidirectional Thyristor Flat type is a semiconductor device made of five-layer of N-P-N-P-N, and three electrodes are drawn outward, and the structure is shown in the figure. The TRIAC is equivalent to the reverse parallel connection of two single-directional thyristors, but with only one control pole.
Features
Our Bidirectional Thyristors possess the following features:
- Diffusion technology.
- Flat type metal-ceramic packages with pressure contacts.
- Double-side cooling.
- Amplifying gates in center.
