HV Diode SMT Series are well-tailored high voltage diodes with characteristics of forward current up to 200mA - 500mA, multi-choices of peak reverse voltage up to 3 - 8KV.
SMT Series are ideal for such purpose and applications as high frequency X-Ray power supply, laser power supplies, voltage multiplying circuits, rectification of power supplies for other electronic devices etc.
This series of diodes are featured of extremely small size which occupying very limited space, and used for professional application as x-ray machine, high power supply, medical CT when they have extremely high requirement in miniaturization.

Installation Precautions
The diodes should be installed and commissioned by an operator with relevant electric, electronic and electrical qualification:
Precausions for Designing
1.The diodes must be used within the specified limits of work and environmental conditions (maximum absolute ratings), otherwise it will possibly cause damage to the devices. In review of reliability for design, it is necessary for the equipment manufacturer and the circuit designers to make appropriate derating designs for the devices.
2. As the pursuit of miniaturization is concern for the designers of high voltage diode, it is necessary in the application of epoxy resin and other materials for secondary packaging to ensure insulation.
2-1. It is recommended to use epoxy resin for secondary packaging, and the operator should pay attention to the expansion of packaging materials and shrinkage stress, the package should avoid air bubble to ensure that the insulator performance.
2-2. The surface of the high voltage diodes should be kept clean so that good interface for second packaging is well bonded.
Storage Note
1. High voltage diodes should be stored in the environment with temperature range of from 5 ℃ to 35 ℃ and relative humidity below 70%. To avoid the impact of the surrounding environment, immediate usage is recommended after open the package.
2. Such storage places with corrosive gases and dust should be avoided;
3. In case when high voltage diodes stores is more than 6 months, drying shall be applied in oven with temperature of 120 ℃ ± 5 ℃ for not less than 24 hours in order to avoid the impact of temperature.
